To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is not having seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the key to everything. -Goethe
Gangivecchio lies in the Madonie Mountains of Sicily in the island's interior. It is situated at the base of the stone village of Gangi, approximately two hours by car from Palermo and Catania.
The interior of Italy boasts a thousand shades of green dotted white with sheep grazing in the rolling hills in late winter and early spring. Gold is the other predominate color here; wheat, wine, olive oil, Etna honey and the Sicilian sun are all bright and clear and golden. There is a general sense that life has happened here forever, and will go on forever more. Join us on a journey to the soul of Italy.
