Gangivecchio is the perfect place for a thrilling Sicilian adventure or a relaxing holiday away from touristy centers.  Our proximity to many of Sicily’s most visited destinations makes it possible for guests to easily venture out during the day and then return to Gangivecchio in time for dinner.  Some of the area’s key points of interest include archeological and historic sites, parks and nature reserves, hill towns and many museums and galleries.  Hiking trails and native flora and fauna abound at Gangivecchio and in the neighboring Madonie and Nebrodie mountain ranges.  We would be happy to pack a Sicilian-style picnic lunch for a hike!

Artisanal food products including cheeses, bakery goods, cured meats and specialty wines can be found in most towns and villages in the area and some are packaged to take home.  Not all items travel well, of course, and should be enjoyed on the spot!  Ceramics, Sicilian puppets and local art are also popular and easy to find close by.

We are happy to arrange special trips for small groups and transportation in a modern, mid-size passenger van is available for a fee.  We will also recommend destinations, shops and restaurants that are consistent favorites among ourselves and our guests.
